Summary edit

Description
English: Mixed (passenger and goods) train on the South Australian Railways' narrow-gauge Great Northern Railway in South Australia. Headed by a Y class locomotive, it is travelling south from Hookina railway siding and is 13 km (8 mi) north of the town of Hawker. The peak in the distance is in the Yappala Range (approximately 31°50′52.8″S, 138°20′24″E).

In 1926 the line, by then owned by the Commonwealth Railways, was named the Central Australia Railway. In 1980 it was closed, on being functionally replaced by the TarcoolaAlice Springs section of what became the Adelaide–Darwin rail corridor.
