Title
Modern Bag Seal
Description
English: Lead bag seal. A small disc made by the clamping together of two conjoined discs, leaving a slot in one edge and a bifurcated slot in the opposite edge, to function as a drawstring closure or attachment. This is smaller than the majority of seals affixed to bags of weighty commodities, and might be for another use; the use of seals to mark meat slaughtered to Kosher requirements is an example. Letters: A, flanked by two partial indistinct characters, and ?C, appear on one side. Suggested date: Modern, 1900-1950.

Diameter: 16.4mm, Thickness (at upstanding rim): 3.9mm, Weight: 2.51gms
