Summary edit
DescriptionMonochord.jpg | Bowed string instruments of 17th century Europe, labeled in Latin. Although this is clearly labeled a monochord, it is not. It is most certainly a two-stringed tromba marina, or marine trumpet, a bowed harmonic instrument that sounds a bit like a bugle. The bridges are designed to buzz, and as such, are easily identifiable. |
