| Description |
English: A night-time view of the large neon sign on the roof of Montgomery Park, in Portland, Oregon, a former Montgomery Ward catalog warehouse. The neon letters are red, but the camera exposure time causes them to appear orange in most photos, and the neon is indiscernible from the street in daylight. The historic building was refitted in the mid-1980s for use for offices, banquets and trade shows, and was given its current name. The sign on its roof was altered at that time, with "W A R D" changed to "P A R K". The building is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. |
