Coin Nord-Est des rues Bernard et Saint-Laurent, en 1911, se trouvait l'hôtel de la Gare qui a pris son nom de sa proximité avec la gare du Mile End. La construction de la gare Jean-Talon, dans les années 1930, a changé à jamais la vocation de ce secteur.
