Data de Inauguração: 3.08.1996 Promotor: PróSerra – Associação para o Progresso da Serra da Boa Viagem Materiais: Ferro Dimensões: Base: alt. 60cm; escultura: alt. 245cm Descrição/ Tema: Monumento às Gentes da Serra encontra-se sobre uma plataforma paralelepipédica, é constituído por um grupo escultórico de quatro figuras humanas semelhantes às dos monumentos ao Cavador e ao Povo da Freguesia de Vila Verde, do mesmo escultor. Pretende representar o cavador, o mineiro e um casal rural abraçado, numa evocação às actividades agrícola e mineira*3 das gentes da Serra da Boa Viagem. Historial: O monumento foi erigido no âmbito do arranjo urbanístico da zona envolvente à igreja com projecto da autoria da Arquitecta Ana Maria Brilha. Inaugurado por ocasião das festas da Senhora da Boa Viagem, às quais foi associando nesse ano a homenagem ao povo laborioso que um dia se fixou naquelas terras, dando origem à actual povoação. It intends to represent the cavador, the miner and a hugged agricultural couple, in a mandate to the activities agricultural and mineira*3 of the gentes of the Mountain range of the Good Trip. Historial: The monument was erected in the scope of the urbanístico arrangement of the involving zone to the church with projecto of the authorship of the Arquitecta Ana Maria Shines. Inaugurated for occasion of the parties Mrs. of the Good Trip, which was associating in this year the homage to the laborious people who one day if fixed in those lands, giving origin to the current population.
