PALAZZO DI GIUSTIZIA
Il Palazzo di Giustizia sorge sul luogo
dell’antico Ospedale San Gerardo e chiude
a nord la piazza Garibaldi.
costruito dall’architetto Bartesaghi nel
1931, ha una forte carica rappresentativa.
La pianta è a U con un cortile centrale
porticato, chiuso da un doppio colonnato
e richiama la tipologia dell'edificio
preesistente.
Il rivestimento in ceppo, la pesante cancellata
suggeriscono un’immagine severa
e celebrativa, tipica di questo momento
storico che ha dato nuova connotazione
anche all’antica piazza Mercato.
