1,000 FEET WEST OF THIS POINT MAY
24, 1847. THEY WERE ENROUTE FROM
NAUVOO, ILLINOIS AND WINTER QUARTERS,
NEBRASKA TO THE VALLEY OF THE
GREAT SALT LAKE, WHICH THEY REACHED
JULY 24, 1847
THE MORMON TRAIL WAS ON THE NORTH
SIDE OF THE RIVER AND THE OREGON
TRAIL ON THE SOUTH SIDE.
