Description
English: Mid-March morning on the Donner Canal, looking south from the southern side of the Tullis Dr. bridge, in Algiers, New Orleans, Louisiana. To the left is the Timber Grove neighborhood, to the right is a wooded area. In the distance the canal curves to the left and empties into the Algiers Alternate Route of the Intracoastal Waterway. An oil slick from an unknown source is visible on the water. A pelican swimming on the right side of the image took flight just prior to the photo being taken, leaving the expanding ripples on the water's surface.
