Français : Sauveur sur le trône, avec des saints sélectionnés. Le Sauveur est présenté sur un fond de cinabre rouge vif, typique des monuments de Novgorod des XIIIe-XVe siècles. De sa main droite il bénit, de sa gauche il tient l'Evangile ouvert avec le texte de Jean (VIII, 12). L'image du Sauveur est encadrée par des figures de saints, particulièrement vénérées dans le pays de Novgorod, placées dans les marges.
English: Savior on the throne, with selected saints. The image of the Savior seated on the throne was widely used in ancient Russian art. The Savior is presented against a bright red cinnabar background, typical of Novgorod monuments of the 13th-15th centuries. With his right hand he blesses, with his left he holds the opened Gospel with the text of John (VIII, 12). The image of the Savior is framed by the figures of saints, especially revered in the Novgorod land, placed in the fields.
