| Description | Experiment: Mosquito larvae (likely Asian Tiger Mosquitoes) from my dirty wheel barrow transferred to alcohol and DSMO for several days and then transfered to hand sanitzer and place in fused quartz cuvette and photographed at 3x using a stack of about 50 shots, you can see the smear on the glass as well as lots of residual dirt from placing the specimens, not much attempt was made to orient the specimens but that can easily be done with a paint brush or thin wire. Technique has promise for delicate specimens ...specimen size is about 3mm, will be using fresh specimens over the weekend and see if we can bring in some color, see associated detail from this shot...lighting issues need to be looked into but seem fixable. |
