Vebeen shining on him at night, and I ve caught abad cold by being out after dark. My health isbreaking down, and if I dont put out my lightsfor a wrhile and take a rest, I 11 have to goout altogether. Now, its like this : I ve been O shining for Mr. Man so long that if I dont sendhim some word he 11 think something serious hashappened. I must take a rest, but I want tosend him a message, telling him that I wont begone long. Well/ says the oldest Rabbit, <I dont mindgoing, if you 11 show me the way and tell mewhat to say. So the Moon pointed out the way, and showedhim how to put his fingers in his ears and holdhis breath when he took the long jump. Then itgave him this message:— I am growing weak to gather strength:I go into the shadoios to gather light The oldest Rabbit said this message over tohimself many times, and then he got ready forthe journey.
