Judge and attorney Catherine McCulloch chaired the Legislative Committee of the Illinois Equal Suffrage Association (IESA) from 1890 to 1912. She led a whistle-stop train tour in the state in 1893 in support of a "statutory suffrage" bill she drafted that would allow women in the state to vote in presidential elections. She was a Justice of the Peace in Evanston, Ill., from 1907 to 1913.
