Karlsplatz 21; Kaufhaus Kaufhof, Stahlskelettbau mit Werksteinverkleidung, 1950/51 von Theo Pabst als erster Münchner Kaufhausneubau der Nachkriegszeit in städtebaulich markanter Ecklage am Rande der Altstadt errichtet; achtgeschossiger kubischer Haupttrakt mit aufgeglaster Rasterfassade und gestelztem Flachdach entlang der Sonnenstraße, und niedrigerer, der Geschosshöhe der Bayerstraße angeglichener walmdachgedeckter Eingangsbau, die unterschiedlichen Baublöcke durch geschwungenen flachen Vorbau verklammert; Renovierung 1992/93. |
