Deutsch: Vorderseite: FERDINANDVS II D G RO IM SEM AV. Umschrift zwischen zwei Perlkreisen, im Feld der gekrönte Doppeladler die Kreise durchbrechend.

Rückseite: SANCTVS L-EODEGARIVS. Umschrift zwischen zwei Perlkreisen, im Feld der Heilige Leogradius im Bischofsornat.

Kommentar: Am 22. Juli 1870 findet in Mehlbek, Kreis Steinburg, der Tagelöhner Hinrich Schmidt beim Reinigen eines Grabens einen Topf mit 99 Silbermünzen. Die Münzen werden an den Landrat in Itzehoe gesandt und von dort an die königliche Regierung in Schleswig, von hier an den 'Conservator vaterländischer Alterthümer' in Kiel. Der schlägt vor, den Fund dem königlichen Münzkabinett in Berlin zum Kauf anzubieten (bis auf eine Münze). Generaldirektor J. Friedländer erwarb drei Münzen (siehe auch Objektnummer 18214517 und 18214518) zum Gesamtpreis von neun Talern für das Berliner Kabinett und vermittelte den Verkauf der übrigen Stücke. Der Besitzer des Grundstückes, dem die Hälfte des Fundes zustand, verzichtete zugunsten des Finders. Der erhielt 165 Taler, 18 Groschen und sechs Pfennige ausgezahlt.
