Description
English: Rectangular tortoise shell box with hinged back, containing key. Oval, hinged and parcel-gilt medallion on top, engraved with flying crane and flowers. Catch on front of box opens this medallion and releases a small feather-covered bird. This automaton beats its wings, opens and closes its beak and pivots on a vertical axis while twittering. Beneath it, a cut-out medallion with and scrolls. B) a key
