Summary
editDescriptionMusta augu serva peenstruktuur.jpg |
English: Skaneeriva elektronmikroskoobiga Helios Nanolab 600 (FEI Company) tehtud sekundaarsete elektronide pilt augu servas olevast peenstruktuurist. Auk tehti puidust spooni sisse 40W CO2 laseri abil. Pildil tuleb hästi esile puidu kiuline struktuur, mis on tingitud skaneeriva elektronmikroskoobi heale sügavusteravusele, mis on antud meetodi eelis optilise mikroskoopia ees. Pilt on tehtud Tartu Ülikooli füüsika instituudi kiletehnoloogia laboris materjalide karakteriseerimise metoodikate õppimise raames. Pildi paremaks visualiseerimiseks on erinevad pinnad pilditöötlusega ära värvitud, kus tume sinine on spooni hoidja ja pruun on puit ise. English: Image of secondary electrons from a fine structure at the edge of a hole taken with a scanning electron microscope Helios Nanolab 600 (FEI Company). The hole was shot into the wood veneer using a 40W CO2 laser. The fibrous structure of the wood is well visible in the picture, which is due to the good depth of field of the scanning electron microscope, which is an advantage of this method over optical microscopy. The picture was taken in the framework of studying materials characterization methodologies in the film technology laboratory of the Institute of Physics of the University of Tartu. For better image visualization, various surfaces have been painted with image processing, where dark blue is the surface where veneer is attached to and brown is the wood itself. |
