XIX w. Dwór zrekonstruowany w latach 2002- -2005 zlokalizowano na skraju skansenu, u stóp zamku Lipowiec. --- Nadwiślański Etnographic Park in Wygiełzów The open-air museum in Wygiełzów Park presents the folk culture of the regions situated west of Kraków, bordered by the old Silesian frontier on Przemsza River. The area of approximately 4 hectares was filled with over 20 wooden buildings accompanied by exhibits of lesser objects such as chapels, wells, beehives and so forth. The exhibits were grouped in three sections: town, religious and rural. The town was planned around a square marketplace with a central well. The exhibition shows typical burgher houses with shingled roofs, a tavern and a granary. The museum’s office is situated in the Alvern house of 1825 with beautiful arcades supported by carved pillars. The suburban house of 1804 originally built in Chrzanów is also very interesting. Nowadays it houses a typical potter’s workshop and an exhibition showing the life and work of the potter at the beginning of the 19th century. Religious architecture is represented by the Elevation of the Holy Cross church, which dates back to the 18th century and was relocated to the park from Ryczów. The church and the freestanding 18th-century belfry are surrounded by a wooden fence. The church has remained operational: it is very popular to hold wedding ceremonies here. The rural sector comprises single- and multihoused farms. The interiors of the buildings house the reconstructed workshops of village craftsmen, the blacksmith’s and the oil mill. The cottage with smoke openings instead of a chimney, built in 1813 in Rozkochów, is the oldest farmhouse in the museum. Of interest too is the cottage of the Płazas dating back to the end of the 19th century, containing a small hall, a tiny chamber with a mud floor, a typical example of the dwelling place of the village’s poor. It stands in contrast to the cottage of Mikołaj Marchewka, Headman of Przeginia Duchowna, who not only could read and write, but also supported the local churches and monasteries with financial donations, and even commissioned his portrait from a famous artist, Julian Fałat. His cottage, constructed in 1862, was modelled on the architecture of manor houses. A good example of such a manor house is the Mansion from Droginia: the wooden single-storey building was erected around 1730, and had an imposing stone portico added in the latter half of the 19th century. The Manor, reconstructed in the years 2002-2005, is situated at the edge of the open-air museum, almost at the foot of Lipowiec castle.
