Description
English: A NATO E-3A Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft flies over the aircraft carrier USS George Washington. George Washington is participating in Tailored Ships Training Availability and Final Evaluation Problem before a permanent homeport change in Yokosuka, Japan. The AWACS is used to provide airborne battle management, surveillance, and weapons control. This is the first time that an AWACS has done a low-approach fly-by over a U.S. naval vessel.
