Description NH 110742: French Warships in port, circa 1939. Location may be on the French Mediterranean coast. Note the palm trees and old fort in the right foreground. The nearest ship is a 2400-tonne type destroyer (one of the ten all their torpedo tubes mounted on the centerline). Beyond her, to the left, is the battleship Courbet, while a Duguay Trouin class light cruiser is to the right. The original print came from the Office of Naval Intelligence.
