Description

The Countess of Scarborough was captured by the frigate Pallas, commanded by the French and used by the Continential Navy, after a two hour battle. Along with Serapis, the Countess of Scarborough was brought to Holland as a prize from the victory, then to Dunkirk where she was sold. Her fate remains unknown. Pallas was returned to France after the Revolutionary War was over.
