Description: (Japanese Heavy Cruiser, 1927) View looking forward from the bridge, while the ship was underway prior to World War II. Note her forward 20cm twin gun turrets. The original halftone photograph came from Rear Admiral Samuel Eliot Morison's World War II history project working files. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
