The maps show that for the same time period (August 29, 2018), low-income neighborhoods experienced hotter summers, as compared to higher-income neighborhoods that experienced lower temperatures. The data were provided to NPR (Anderson and Mcminn) by NASA, U.S. Geological Survey and U.S. Census Bureau.
