Description |
فارسی: قطعهٔ نستعلیق منسوب به میرعلی تبریزی English: The right-hand side of this double page of calligraphy bears the signature of the celebrated late fourteenth- to early fifteenth-century calligrapher Mir-Ali al-Tabrizi. That attribution, however, is almost certainly spurious,
as the sweeping lines of the bold nasta'liq script are executed in a manner typical of seventeenth-century work (after Glenn D. Lowry, Milo Cleveland Beach, Elisabeth West FitzHugh, Susan Nemanzee, Janet Snyder. An Annotated and Illustrated Checklist of the Vever Collection. Washington and Seattle. cat. 455, p. 364) |
