Summary edit

Description
English: Built in 1916-1917 and expanded to its present size in 1928-1929, this Renaissance Revival-style building was designed by Oscar Wenderoth of the Weary and Alford Company to serve as the headquarters of the National Bank of Tulsa, and later housed the Exchange National Bank. The building stands 22 stories and 400 feet (122 meters) tall, and was the tallest building in Oklahoma from the completion of the building’s addition in 1929 until 1931, when the First National City in Oklahoma City was completed, and remained the tallest building in Tulsa until 1967, when the Bank of America Center was completed. Today, the building is the 11th tallest building in Oklahoma. The building is clad in red brick with terra cotta trim, casement windows, terra cotta spandrels, oxeye windows, cornices with dentils, relief panels, a terra cotta base, large bays on the ground floor with brass trimmed windows, a multi-tier tower with pediments and a lantern, and a large arched entrance bay at the center of the base of the tower portion of the building. The building is a contributing structure in the Oil Capital Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.
