PORTSMOUTH, Va. (Feb, 15, 2013) Brian Smith, a Naval Medical Center Portsmouth computed tomography (CT) technologist, views images from a thoracic aorta scan. The scan was one of 150 that have been completed at NMCP since July using a $2 million, state-of-the-art dual-source CT scanner, which can image the heart in less than one heartbeat.
