| Description |
The Guild or Gild of the Holy Cross was a medieval religious guild in Birmingham, England. It was founded in 1392 by three burgesses of the town - John Coleshill, John Goldsmith and William atte Slowe. The chapel was siezed by the crown during the reign of Edward VI in 1547 as part of the reformation. The chapel was granted to the bailiff of Stratford-upon-Avon in 1553, and since then has remained property of the town authority.
