Deutsch: Neckarsulm wurde 771 erstmals im Lorscher Codex als "villa Sulmana" erwähnt. Aus dieser Urkunde geht hervor, dass ein Plidroch und seine Frau Blitrud dem Kloster Lorsch ihren gesamten Besitz in der "villa Sulmana" vermachen.
