Description
Deutsch: Die ersten Besucher, eine Familie aus dem Erzgebirge wurde von Museumsdirektor Oberst PD Dr. Matthias Rogg mit Blumen begrüßt. Nach einer siebenjährigen Umbauzeit wurde das Militärhistorische Museum der Bundeswehr in Dresden am 14. Oktober 2011 neu eröffnet. Mit der ungewöhnlichen neuen Fassade und der baulichen Wechselwirkung zwischen Alt und Neu geht die Bundeswehr auch mit dem Konzept neue und ungewöhnliche Wege. So sieht das neue Konzept eine multiperspektivische und kritische Darstellung von Militärgeschichte vor. Das Museum möchte über die Geschichte nicht nur informieren, sondern zu Fragen und zum Mitdenken anregen. Themen wie Gewalt, Leiden und Zerstörung werden aufgegriffen und durchdringen alle Teile der Ausstellung. Im Sinne eines modernen museumspädagogischen Ansatzes wird das Militär nicht nur als Institution, sondern auch in seiner Wechselwirkung zum wirtschaftlichen, gesellschaftlichen, kulturellen und gesamtöffentlichen Leben dargestellt. © Bundeswehr / Mandt
