Description
English: The "Office Entrance" to the w:American Stock Exchange buildig at 86 Trinity Place in Downtown Manhattan, New York City. The entrance, at the northwest corner of the front of the building, shows a 1971 plaque from the "Golden Anniversary" of the exchange, which reads: "On June 27, 1921 the curbstone brokers moved from their outdoor market on Broad Street to establish on this site the indoor securities market that became the American Stock Exchange / 1921 - Golden Anniversary - 1971". This corner of the building also shows the year of construction ("1930") and names the architects ("Starrett and Van Vleck")
