English: Lt. Col. Edward J. Pavelka, incoming commanding officer, receives the unit colors from Lt. Col. Richard P. Matyskiela, outgoing commanding officer, Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 463, during the change of command ceremony between Hangars 101 and 102, Feb. 26, 2015. Matyskiela, a native of Silverdale, Penn., relinquished command of “Pegasus” to Pavelka, a native of Des Moines, Iowa. Matyskiela also received a Meritorious Service Medal during the ceremony for his service as commanding officer. He will now be serving as the executive officer for Marine Aircraft Group 24. Pavelka was previously the executive officer and CH-53 detachment officer in charge for Western Pacific 13-2 deployment with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
