DescriptionNew Orleans Hamburger & Seafood Co, St. Charles Avenue Uptown New Orleans, 9 Feb 2021.tif |
English: This cafe gladly announced that it was open for business during a most unusual Carnival season, leading to what would normally have been the annual Mardi Gras (or "Fat Tuesday") celebration in New Orleans, Louisiana. This was 2021, in the midst of a global coronavirus pandemic that shut many schools, businesses and restaurant visits and also traditional Carnival parades that normally attract millions of visitors to "the Big Easy." Instead, many New Orleanians brought flamboyant decorations such as this, usually reserved for Mardi Gras parade floats, to their homes and businesses. |
