English: Newmarket Street subway Gives access to the market from the city centre. As the sign indicates, the junction ahead takes nearly all the through traffic, north-south and east-west, as Hereford is the largest town in the UK without a proper bypass!
The Roman Road to the north of the city does take some east-west traffic off, but Hereford is still a bottleneck with only one bridge across the Wye. |
