Nicolai Christian Sandborg, fød 1790, var Handelsmand og drev væsentlig Vinhandel i sin Eiendomsgaard, nuværende Lars Hansens Gaard, og kjøbte i 1834 hele Vinbeholdningen efter Machholm og boer nu i J. S. Grams Gaard i Søgaden No. 34, som han tilforhandlede sig efter Consul Knudtzon, men solgte den igjen til benævnte Gram, ophørte med Handelen omkring 1832, overgik til Landvæsenet som Jordbruger, kjøbte Gaarden Ferstad efter Bang, 1826, og opholdt sig som saadan i en del Aar. Som det sedvanlig gaar, gjorde han i denne Stilling ingen Lykke, solgte atter Ferstad, 1835, til en Bondemand for 7000 Sp. og forflyttede til Værdalen, hvor han atter kjøbte en Eiendom, Bjertnes, hvor han døde i Febr. 1840. Blandt andre Sønner havde han en, der blev Sektionschef her i det nordenfjeldske, døde i 70-Aarene.
