Nederlands: Brigadegeneraal Nico van der Zee heeft sinds 9 juni de leiding over het Operationeel Ondersteuningscommando Land (OOCL). In ’t Harde nam hij het commando over van generaal-majoor Ivo de Jong. De Jong is inmiddels begonnen als de nieuwe plaatsvervangend directeur van de Defensie Materieel Organisatie.
Het OOCL oefende veel de afgelopen jaren, zei De Jong. “Of het nu was met de mariniers in Noorwegen of met de genisten van 101 Geniebataljon in Frankrijk.” Hij noemde de missie in Mali het hoogtepunt. “Met personeel van de inlichtingeneenheid JISTARC en het Civiel Militair Interactiecommando leverden wij toch het merendeel van kennis, capaciteit en mensen.” |
