Description
עברית: חולות ניצנים (או חולות אשדוד) הוא מתחם המשתרע על פני 30 אלף דונמים דרומית לאשדוד וצפונית לאשקלון, על חוף הים התיכון. למעט היישוב ניצן השטח כמעט ולא מיושב. החולות הוכרזו כשמורת טבע על מנת להגן על הדיונות המעטות שקיימות בארץ ישראל, ולאחר שנעשה שימוש לא יעיל בחולות למען תעשיית הבנייה בארץ. החולות בניצנים מאופיינים בקרקע הכורכר הטיפוסית למישור החוף הדרומי.
