PNG-bild av jorden med Sverige i mitten.

Jag gjorde just denna bild och laddade upp den. Frågan är om bilder som denna, t.ex. på jordens alla kontinenter och länder, är intressanta på Wikiperdia.

Bilden är exporterad från AutoCAD och därefter konverterad till PNG. mhn 25 juli 2003 kl.16.09 (CEST)

Alla bilder är intressanta om det finns/skrivs någon artikel som de kan illustrera. Men det skulle vara ännu mer intressant om du på bilden kunde markera de nordiska länderna. Sedan ser jag på bilden att sv:Sovjetunionen och sv:Jugoslavien finns med, så kartan är lite föråldrad... En annan fråga gäller ju sv:upphovsrätten till bilderna.
Ja, dessutom saknas Aralsjön och Kaspiskahavet.

Vad gäller upphovsrätten har jag producerat bilden själv i AutoCAD(orginalkartan säger "Copyright 1994, American Digital Cartography, Inc" om sig själv) men jag antar att jag kan hänvisa till sv:GNU FDL.
Jag laddade upp bilden för att fråga om det finns något tänkbart användningsområde på Wikipedia för något i den här stilen; jag uppdaterar gärna kartan "manuellt" om det finns något intresse för den här sortens bild.
Ett tänkbart område kunde kanske vara "Antilop: Utbredning" eller så. Det går att "placera kameran" ovanför vilken plats på jorden som helst. Det går också att övdriva perspektivet så t.ex. Afrika "fyller ut halva jordklotet".
Att lägga till text och några linjer är lätt, färgade fält kräver lite mer arbete, men går också. Dock kanske bilden är intressantare om den är "internationell". mhn 25 juli 2003 kl.18.55 (CEST)
