new elephant house, copenhagen zoo, 2002-2008. architects: foster + partners.

yes, its another glass eye from norman foster (and there are two of them), but the real quality here is in the landscape design in which the copenhagen zoo is made to connect visually with the neighbouring 18th century park, vastly improving both.

if the elephants are just half as enthusiastic about their new accomodation as the keeper I met, all will be well.
