Summary edit

Description
English: The northbound platform at Rannoch railway station in Perth and Kinross, central Scotland. From this platform you can catch a train to Fort William, trains to Glasgow depart from the other side of the building. An exhibition on railways in the Scottish Highlands was due to open in the station building about a fortnight after my visit - although the leaflet we picked up about it didn't say this! Truly in the middle of almost nowhere, Rannoch station is at the end of a five-mile dead-end road and 16 miles distant from the large (for the area) village of Kinloch Rannoch at the far end of Loch Rannoch (Map).
