Summary edit

Description
English: The two electrified tracks of the Northeast Corridor pass by Northup Avenue Yard, along with non-electrified side track on the left, used to allow MBTA trains to reach the main line from the Pawtucket Layover facility. Beyond the crossover, the remaining siding is occasionally used to store equipment. This track formerly served an industrial building in Providence which has since been replaced by a United States Postal Service warehouse. Stored Amtrak maintenance of way equipment is visible in the right side of the photo in the yard.
