Notes
  • 2009 Charles E. Peterson Prize, Second Place
  • Significance: Vale Edge contains a cluster of Adirondacks. These were originally built upon the ground utilizing blighted chestnut trees as wood sheathing. The Adirondacks sleep 4 people in 2 sets of bunk beds placed on either sides of an open entry. Throughout the years alterations have been made to the cabins making them what they presently are. The buildings have been lifted off the ground and placed on a concrete slab, supported by a masonry foundation. The cabins have been reinforced with modern dimensional lumber.
