| Description | The Northern Dispensary at 167 Waverly Place where it intersects Grove Street and Christoper Street in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1831 in the Federal style, with a third floor added in 1855. It was a private medical clinic for the poor, started in 1824. It is located within the Greenwich Village Historic District. (Source: Guide to NYC Landmarks (4th ed.)) The building is triangular, due to the way the streets around it intersect. |
