| Description |
English: Nos 1 to 27, Stoats Nest Road, Coulsdon, Surrey These fourteen terrace houses were built during the very early years of the London to Brighton Railway (seen behind), which then crossed Stoats Nest Road by a level crossing. But increasing traffic on the railway led to the construction of a bridge, so the roadway was lowered to pass under the railway at the bridge, leaving these houses some feet above the level of the road. |
