| Description | For many years in Ontario's motor vehicle registrations history license plates of four digits or less were issued this shorter sized plates, Three characters or less were issued to prominent citizens, politicians, judges, police officials and other important people. Also in 1951 this plate does not have the crown which has been on all Ontario regular issued plates since 1937. The public demanded the return of the crown and it reappeared in 1953. This plate was revalidated with a 1952 windshield sticker allowing this plates continued use in 1952. Non passenger plates were issued plates in 1952 and these plates had the crown on them. See the set this plate is in to see all Ontario issued from 1911 to date. |
