Description |
English: Depiction of King Denis I of Portugal on a faience dish. It reads "The Farmer-King, while Digging for Potatoes, Unearthed the 1st Sebenta, from which Adam learned how to woo Eve", and it was made in 1899 for the Centennial of the Sebenta, a students' event in the University of Coimbra (sebentas are students' notes meant to be shared among them).
Português: Representação de D. Dinis de Portugal num prato de faiança. Diz "O Rei Lavrador Andando a Cavar Batatas, Encontrou a 1.ª Sebenta por onde Adão apprendeu a namorar Eva", e foi feito em 1899 para o Centenário da Sebenta, um evento na Universidade de Coimbra. |
