| Description |
English: (1 of a multiple picture set.) I took this picture from Slide Rock State Park in Oak Creek Canyon. Oak Creek has carved out a smooth chute here as it rushes down towards Sedona. People can wiz down this natural slide going from one pond to another down below (if they like cold water). It has been ranked as one of the ten most beautiful swimming holes in America. The park also encompasses an old apple farm where some of the building still remain, including a few old tourist cabins. Many great western movies were filmed here during the 50s and 60s, one being 'The Last Wagon.' |
