English: Oak trees at Ashley Cross, New Forest. Ashley Cross on Hampton Ridge is mostly open heathland, but occasionally there are clumps of trees (mainly oak with some holly) as seen in this photo. You can see the 'browse line' of the trees, which is the height above which the ponies can't nibble.
