Opened in 1958 and still in use. I believe this is Oakville's 5th Post Office. Originaly this building contained several Canadian Government agencies including , Customs , Manpower and an RCMP detatchment. Now the only occupant is Canada Post. As of November 5th 2011 this property is listed for sale. The retail services section of Canada Post will be relocating to 134 Lakeshore Road West and delivery services will be relocating to Speers Road sometime in 2012. |
