Description
Deutsch: Die Häuser Schuhmarktplatz 4 (rechts) und 5 wurden nach einem Brand im Jahr 1842 wieder aufgebaut und beide 1907 um ein Stockwerk erhöht. In diesem Zuge entstanden auch die einander recht ähnlichen Fachwerk-Zwerchhäuser mit Krüppelwalmdach. Nummer 5 ist ein reines Wohnhaus. Im Erdgeschoss von Nummer 4 befindet sich derzeit die sogenannte Bürgerwerkstatt, vergleichbar mit einem Repair-Café.
English: The houses at Schuhmarktplatz 4 (on the right) and 5 were rebuilt after a fire in 1842 and both were raised by one storey in 1907. The half-timbered wall dormers with half-hip roofs, which are quite similar to each other, were also built in this course. Number 5 is a purely residential building. The ground floor of number 4 currently houses the so-called citizens' workshop, which is comparable to a repair café.
