Grasping the clothing or person of a player orputting one or both arms about a player shall be consid-ered holding, and when playing an opponent from the rear,that is to say, reaching for the ball, players must keepone arm free. A foul sliall be called for violation of thisrule. Sec. 2. A player shall not carry the ball. He must playit from the spot from which he catches it. Allowance shallbe made for one who catches it while running, if he throwsit at once or stops as soon as possible.
